Website Design

In terms of the design, my primary focus is determining what best suits my client. Designs are never “reused” or gone about with a “cookie cutter” approach. The result is an unique design catered around the clients' product or services so visiting customers feel welcomed and are left with a sense of the company and what it stands for. Little details which leave a positive impression on your visitors.

All designs are initially developed in either Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator depending on the nature of the client's business..

• Pricing: Prices for websites vary widely depending on the complexity so it is impossible to give an estimate without specifics…  it could be anywhere between 500 – 25K.

• My focus is custom designed web sites or Wordpress Themes. There are a lot of places out there that have pre-existing templates for use on sites which are understandably considerably cheaper. I do not have stock templates or themes which can be used in mass by customers.

• Lately I have also been doing web consulting and custom graphic work for clients who want to primarily do their own site using pre-existing templates or WordPress Themes but who need assistance in certain areas or want to modify/customize certain areas.

• Stationary and business cards designs can also be developed in conjunction with the website design so that your company has consistent branding.

Consulting

Lately I have also been doing web consulting and custom graphic work for clients who want to primarily do their own site using pre-existing templates or WordPress Themes but who need assistance in certain areas or want to modify/customize certain areas.

I offer consulting services for clients who wish to discuss customization possibilities for their existing sites or modifications to existing templates or Wordpress Themes. In many (but not all) cases, if the templates are implemented well, this can be done without completely redoing the site from the ground up.

Modifications can be done on a much smaller budget than required for a full fledge custom site design.

Domain Name Registration & Hosting

I can provide Domain Name Registration and Hosting for my clients. Please note that I do not provide this service outside of my design or consulting clients.

Regardless of who you do your Domain Name Registration and/or Hosting through, always be certain that your Domain Name is registered in your or your company's name to ensure that you maintain complete control over the domain even if you decide to go with another provider in the future.

• Be aware that domain registration slamming is a viscous practice. Be certain you know who your domain is registered through and that the domain is locked to prevent transfer! Do not respond to unscruppluous companies who send letters stating that the domain is expiring. This leads many consumers to unwittingly switch their domain name registrar. The most active of such practices is Domain Registry of America (DROA). Once they have your domain they lock it for 120 days - most registers will only lock a domain for 60 days..

All domains are locked and set to auto renew. Clients will be informed approximately one month prior to an upcoming renewal to ensure that they want to renew the domain. If the client does not want the domain renewed, I must recieved the instruction to not renew the domain in writing or email inorder to comply with ICANN ERRP policy.

Maintenance

Once your site is up and running, you may wish to have regular updates of upcoming events, specials or perhaps post newsletters and articles. Maintenance contracts can be set up and arranged to keep your site up to date or you can purchase training on how to update your own site.

• It is recommended that documents are converted to the standardized Adobe^® Acrobat^® PDF for posting on the internet or for distribution vice using Pages or Microsoft Word files.

Photography

Digital editing such as adding/removing individuals or items from photographs (backgrounds from product items) and digital photo restoration is available.

My personal photography is still simply done on a hobby basis. I do not have time to take it to a professional/business level. I have however started putting some items on Smugmug at burianekphotography.com

Computer and Networking Services

For clients in the Southeasterrn Connecticut area, computer and networking services are available. I can set up a home or office network and/or provide maintenance on your computer. These services are provided on a case by case basis.
